This is what happens when we go to any particular eatery with an expectation already set.

I had been to Panoor Qusais only a couple of days back; it was an okay / not bad kind of experience. Initially, I didn’t want to give the same brand a try in the same week. But, after lots of thoughts, and vacillation in front of their outlet, finally decided to move in.

The first impression was good. The place was more spacious, and relatively cleaner than their Qusais outlet.

The waiter too was more adroit. He wished me good evening, and that was a faint surprise as you don’t usually see that in Kerala Style restaurant. As usual, there was no menu, the Waiter preferred to speak it out. I opted for the Porotta, and then asked him what he had in Chicken. He recommended some Kunju Kozhi, told me it was his special for the day. I decided to give it a try.

Squeaky clean plate was there in no time, and before that he brought a welcome drink which tasted like Chikoo Shake. Though the serving was just the measure of a Patiala Peg, I guess he understood that I loved the taste, and brought a repeat. This, along with Green Salad.

The Chicken Special was absolutely gorgeous. It was spicy, had the right mix of Kerala Masala, and tasted perfect along with the Porotta. It was so impressive that I ordered an appam to top it.

To put it in a few words- “This was one chicken curry that tasted the best in recent times”

The waiter offered a Naadan Tea, but I refused. It would just kill the taste in my mouth of the chicken I just had.

Then the bill came, and as expected it was slightly heavier than normal. But that doesn’t matter much, as long as the taste lingers on.

A five, out of five. That seals the experience.
